Audrey Castera – Anatomy Teacher
She arrived on the island of the god in 2014 and little did she know that unexpected encounter would soon change her life. Audrey began her Yoga training with Tomomi Becot whom she met only a few weeks after arriving in Indonesia, and who became her loyal friend and Yoga Teacher. Together, they practiced one to one studying Yoga for a year which allowed Audrey to discover traditional aspects of the practice, and the newfound passion became a new path. Following her desire to take her practice to the next step she completed her Yoga Teacher Training in 2015 with Tomomi. Audrey later joined the Yoga Dunia’s Teacher Training School team on the island of Nusa Lembongan, Bali, becoming the manager, where she placed her two passions together, Yoga and management. She managed the delivery of daily classes, workshops, yoga retreats and Yoga Teacher trainings. Audrey has always been interested in Anatomy and realized her deeper passion for this, particularly the bio mechanics of movement wanting to commit to teaching students safely and in particular functional yoga anatomy specific to individual body skeletal structures. Accommodation is external to Yoga Dunia, the yoga teacher training studio, but there are so many options close by & we can easily help you find the right one for your budget. We have found in the past many people prefer to have some privacy at the end of the day.
During the training you will have different assessments to complete; these will be both written & practical teaching assignments this are part of your non-contact & contact hours requirements. You will be fully prepared for this process & we endeavour to create an nurturing environment of support & encouragement.
To teach yoga authentically, you must first have an established personal practice. During this intensive course, you will practice two hours twice a day which includes both a physical practice of different styles of yoga – Vinyasa, Yin yoga, Yinyasa & Restorative, & a meditation & pranayama practice.
If you feel ready to take this next step & wish to become a certified yoga teacher we do recommend you to have at least one year of regular & dedicated yoga asana practice.
However, if you are at the stage where you wish to develop your own practice, learn more about yoga & all its aspects, but are not ready or do not wish to become a certified yoga teacher yet then this course is also for you. We understand it can be difficult to find the time to learn & practice all the elements of yoga, so this is an opportunity to do so without becoming a yoga teacher.
If this is you, we do recommend you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least six months, as this will make it easier for you to develop a regular asana, pranayama, & meditation practice. You will be able to follow exactly the same schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the necessity to complete the assignment papers & student teaching labs.
We provide a healthy group breakfast.
