An equally balanced course of both Vinyasa and Yin yoga; the first half of the training incorporates the Vinyasa & fundamental anatomy aspects, the second half your Yin yoga & Chinese medicine principles aspects.
Within a supportive small group setting, your practice will deepen as you understand & apply the theoretical principles of both yin & yang yoga to your personal yoga approach & teaching skills, in addition to having the opportunity to practice teaching both styles to others.

Yoga teacher, yoga therapist & passionate Yin yogi. Holding over 3,000 hours of Teacher Training & 20 years of yoga teaching experience. Teacher training incorporates influences from Hatha yoga, Forest yoga, Pregnancy yoga, Yoga Therapy, Ayurveda, Functional yoga, Restorative yoga, Trauma yoga, Yin yoga & Chinese Medicine principles.

Claire is a Yoga Alliance RYT 500 yoga teacher qualified to lead teacher training & Akirayoga is a registered Yoga Alliance school.
Claire has worked with thousands of students & clients worldwide as both a yoga teacher & therapist.
Pilu has 900 hours of teacher training and over eight years of teaching experience in yoga, she is an RYT 500 yoga teacher qualified to lead teacher training. Initially completed her Ashtanga 200 hours with Ashtanga at Sachidananda School in Mysore, India in 2017. Later, she met a further 200 hours of Vinyasa Yoga Education with the well-recognized Briohny Smith. Pilu went on to complete Aerial Yoga Teacher Training in 2017, with Mandalablue Yoga, Gili Air, Indonesia, and later became one of the mentors for the founder of the Fly High Yoga Teacher Trainings, Jose Luis Jimenez, assisting with his training programs and continues to assist with these training. She completed her Essential Yoga Anatomy with Jason Crandell and Paul B. Rosache in 2018 and completed further yoga training with Yin Yoga Teacher Training in Indonesia with Serenity Yoga Student training with Caroline Linelayzell in 2019. She immerses herself in 300 hours of Yoga Teacher Training with Deepa Ji and many other teachers from India.
She is an eternal student, an active and adventure person, living in 7 different countries, most of the time in small places close by the ocean. She has a strong background in Ashtanga Vinyasa, and aerial disciplines like aerial silk, trapeze, bringing creative vinyasa into these styles.
UK-trained Osteopath, New Zealand-trained pilates rehab instructor & internationally recognized anatomy teacher Rachel Ellery, specializes in sharing her knowledge of human anatomy & movement principles with yoga students, yoga teachers, & body workers from around the world.
Her mantra “educating & moving the world one body at a time” stems from over 26 years of hands-on experience & 17 years of teaching functional anatomy, bodywork techniques, & movement. Her passion to heal others through touch & movement began while practicing sports therapy in the UK & Caribbean. Rachel naturally progressed into further education at the British School of Osteopathy graduating in 2000. Rachel has also continued training in Cranio-sacral Osteopathy, Garuda mat, dry needling, pediatrics, & shown interest in Eastern medicine healing modalities Wuo Tai, Zen Thai Shiatsu, Thai Vedic Yoga, & the Thai Massage Circus.
Since then, Rachel has practiced holistic osteopathy in NZ & is now based in Bali, the healing capital of Asia, she travels within Bali & to yoga schools across the globe to educate yoga students on the importance of human & functional anatomy encouraging them to develop their alignment, self-awareness, teaching skills & to educate others in the wonders of the body.
• This module of the course is in 3 parts, the first part will be ONLINE relating to understanding the human body, its functions, & how it enables us to move & practice yoga, including:
• Structure governs function
• Intro to the systems of the body
• The breath
• Core cylinder – diaphragm & pelvic floor
• Navigating through the body and understanding the movement of the body
• Osteology – the study of bones
• Arthrology – the study of joints
• Myology – The study of muscles

• The second & third part of the Anatomy will be the INTEGRATION of the theoretical anatomy principles to the practice of vinyasa asana & yin yoga, including the movement of the body within the yang practice, how to safely make transitions within your creative sequences, & the bio movements of the body. We will explore Functional yoga principles, & skeletal differences, in addition to your personal biomechanics & how to incorporate the use of variations that empower both your personal practice & your student’s experience of yoga within the classroom. We will explore the whole fascia system, our connective tissue , tensions & compression theory, Myoyin & Acuyin techniques that compliment the yin yoga practice.

Final assessment
During the 200-hour yoga teacher training, you will have different assessments; these will be both written & practical teaching assignments. These are part of your non-contact & contact hours requirements. You will be fully prepared for this process & we endeavor to create a nurturing environment of support & encouragement.
