mefinal

  • Senior Yoga teacher, yoga therapist & passionate yogi, from her first encounter with yoga she was hooked, & fell in love with the pure raw healing potential of the practice; the contrast between the strength & power of a yang practice compared to the grace & surrender of a yin practice. Passionate about how yoga empowers people in the healing process; rather, than being a passive recipient of treatment, the student is actively engaged in the path to their own well-being. Claire sees her role as to guide you to listen to your own subtle messages of the body & directing you as to how to respond offering tools for re-balance & teaching you the way to implement these tools within your own self practice & teaching. Her teaching experience involves British Wheel of Yoga Foundation course trainings, Yin yoga teacher trainings, retreats, workshops, group classes, privates, pregnancy, postnatal, myofascia release, yoga therapy, as well as offering free classes to people with physical, mental & emotional difficulties or who wanted to improve their community links, accessing classes through the Adult Education Service in England. She incorporates both Yang (Vinyasa/ Hatha) & Yin/Myofascial techniques practices. You will be trained to develop your own self-practice, create balanced Vinyasa & Yin sequences, teach safely & confidently, whilst gaining a deeper insight of the yogic philosophy of life which goes beyond the asana. This training will not only give you the tools to live a better life & share your gift of yoga to the world, but it will also offer a powerful reflective insightful personal journey. Claire has over 1,200 hours of teacher training & 16 years of teaching experience; completing 500 hours with the British Wheel of Yoga in 2005; Birthlight pregnancy yoga training in 2009. She gained the British Wheel of Yoga Foundation Course Teacher Trainer certification in 2011 delivering British Wheel of Yoga Hatha yoga based teacher training. Prerequisites

  • To teach yoga authentically, you must first have an established personal practice. During this intensive course, you will practice two hours twice a day which includes both a physical practice of different styles of yoga – Vinyasa, Yin yoga, Yinyasa & Restorative, & a meditation & pranayama practice.
  • If you feel ready to take this next step & wish to become a certified yoga teacher we do recommend you to have at least one year of regular & dedicated yoga asana practice.
  • However, if you are at the stage where you wish to develop your own practice, learn more about yoga & all its aspects, but are not ready or do not wish to become a certified yoga teacher yet then this course is also for you. We understand it can be difficult to find the time to learn & practice all the elements of yoga, so this is an opportunity to do so without becoming a yoga teacher.
  • If this is you, we do recommend you to have practiced any style of yoga for at least six months, as this will make it easier for you to develop a regular asana, pranayama, & meditation practice. You will be able to follow exactly the same schedule as those who are choosing to become certified, without the necessity to complete the assignment papers & student teaching labs.

Final assessment

  • During the training you will have different assessments to complete; this will be both written & practical teaching assignments this are part of your non-contact & contact hours requirements.
