GUIDED SAVASANA – DEEP RELAXATION – BODY SCAN – RESET THE NERVOUS SYSTEM
A 20 Minute Guided Body Scan Savasana – a deep guided relaxation to compliment your yoga practice or on its own whenever you feel the need to complete relax both body and mind, have some resting time out and/or reset the nervous system.
Allowing you to feel fully refreshed and recharged. Savasana is the great balancer in terms of our nervous system. It shifts from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic side, and we experience a calming, sweet release. Over time, Savasana teaches us how to move from anxiety and hyper-stimulation to this state of down-regulation where digestion, the immune system, and other essential systems are restored and enhanced.
This is a full hour Yin & Restorative Yoga practice will not only increase flexibility & joint health in the shoulders, chest & spine but we will also release excess emotion & negativity we can store inside both body & mind.
We target areas within your shoulders, chest & spine in this class, to release in particular conscious or subconscious stress & anxiety from the body as we stimulate into the Heart, Pericardium, Small Intestine and Triple Warmer meridians.
Variations are given & explained, with demonstrations. Suitable for all levels of experience & body shape from beginners to advanced. Have your bolsters, cushions/pillows/blocks ready.
