Small Group Yoga Training Benefits

Yin Yoga small group training benefits

small group yin yoga

Small group yoga training settings as Yin yoga trainers, offer us many opportunities to observe you as yoga students so much better & therefore, help you understand each segment of the Yin yoga training.

Each individual in the small group benefits from this as the yoga training can move in the direction that will be most beneficial for YOU as the learners. Rather than have to stay with a more robust schedule due to the management of high numbers.

We may have experienced yoga classes that exist in high numbers, which can leave us feeling unseen, & disconnected from the teacher. Maybe little or no assistance was able to be conducted, & perhaps you felt that your needs needed to be met.

Small group yoga training settings allow us, as trainers, to observe how well the small group is responding to each topic, have regular check-ins with you on your understanding & stay flexible to speeding up or slowing down the training. This can allow you to process & digest what is being taught at a pace to support your progression. Each group can be so different. Therefore this opportunity to be adaptable in our approach is essential.

Other small group Yoga training benefits include:

• Personal connection with trainers – this includes the opportunity to clarify themes/topics. Within a small group setting, we can get to know you better, & your learning style, & respond to our teaching. Therefore providing a learning environment that is more learning productive for you personally.

• Personalised understanding of your bio-mechanics & how to adapt the Yin yoga asana to YOUR body. Assist you personally with variations, & help you learn what might work better for you & why. A small group setting means we have the opportunity to observe your body.

• Feel fully confident to ask any questions. A small group setting may help you feel more confident in finding your voice.

• Less distraction in the learning environment. Having 20 or fewer students means there will be fewer distractions within the study room. While also allowing lead teachers to be fully aware of what may be occurring within the group outside the classroom.

• Get to know each other & form lasting friendships. A small group yoga setting provides a nurturing space to bond deeply with fellow learners. This can include the opportunity to work in pairs which consist of all members within the group & help you feel confident as you develop your teaching skills.

• Receive meaningful individualized feedback & support. Working with small groups means we can offer you personal feedback from our observations & getting to know you on your training journey. It also allows us to receive meaningful feedback to improve our training, as you, the students, are also our teachers.
