Functional anatomy & the Fascia system has also been emphasized, together with student individual body anatomical analysis. With daily asana Archetype labs, become utterly familiar with a wide range of creative postures available & that we may also create depending on your body.
Anatomy is so essential, but so is learning to still the mind. Therefore, a daily progressive pranayama & meditation program, with complimentary hand mudras, is also incorporated for an embodied experience.
The training offers essential teaching tools & opportunities for you to practice teaching. We explore all main contra-indications & safe adjusting practices so you feel competent to effectively work with a wide range of varying students.
Reflection allows us to pause, untangle our choices & experiences, & can begin to create meaning. A Transformative week of Reflective Learning

A Yin Yoga Bali Teacher Training, where you will learn all the practice fundamentals in one week. Combining the Yin yoga physical ethos while embracing Chinese Medicine principles.

The course will teach you how to apply fundamental concepts to yourself through daily lectures that explore core Chinese philosophy & meridian theories. You will understand how these relate to our internal organ system, six sensory organs, & emotional/mental well-being.

High importance has also been placed on anatomy, including the Fascia system, all the main muscle groups, skeletal segments, & essential functional yoga anatomy, including an analysis of your own body anatomical structure, & how to apply this theory to Yin yoga asana archetypes.

We then provide the space for the physical application of all these concepts with the twice-daily practices. Within which, you explore completely different Yin yoga asana & associated techniques in each & every class.

The morning classes consist of Traditional Yin yoga, pranayama & meditation. The evening practices are Meridian focused with Tapping, Myofascial massage, Myoyin & Acuyin techniques.

A daily pranayama & meditation progression program has been integrated into our program to deepen your awareness of the benefits of including traditional yoga techniques with the Yin yoga style.

Essential teaching skills are also covered & include how to construct effective lesson planning with examples.

Our focus will be on guidance & nurturing to enrich all your senses, allowing you to feel the sensory & energetic experience of movement, & teaching you how to tune in to & respond to your own body appropriately.

Meditation and Pranayama

  •  • Daily progressive Pranayama & Meditation practice to establish a valuable & powerful tool to deepen your spiritual understanding & to feel confident incorporating these techniques into both your personal practice & your teaching.

  • On the first day 3 pm group welcome. This is followed by an evening practice. This allows you time to both get here & settle into your accommodation.

Welcome yoga friends; I’m Claire, a yoga teacher, yoga therapist & a passionate Yin yogi. I offer Yin Yoga teacher training & Vinyasa/Yin Yoga teacher training in Bali, & online Yin yoga teacher training, seasonal self-care courses & YouTube classes.
All my teacher training has been designed to teach you fundamental philosophy & meridian theory principles & will guide you on how to tangibly use these concepts in the practical application of the Yin yoga practice. Therefore, providing a space where you can turn your knowledge into action & apply these principles to yourself before teaching others. By applying fundamental concepts, my aim is for you to become empowered as your own teacher.

My Background

I started practicing yoga 22 years ago, having sciatica & pelvic pain. Also, suffering from anxiety & being in a high alert state as a young adult, self-medication & self-harm was habitual patterns in numerous ways. My nervous system was ultimately out of balance.

Yoga entered my life after stumbling across a yoga video at a yard sale. Due to social anxiety was very much a self-taught personal practice, not entering a class for two years.

I’m an empathetic individual that feels deeply & has strong instincts.

Prior experience in psychology & criminology, working with the National Probation Service for 8 yrs. I taught yoga in the evenings during this time. This teaching proceeded to a full-time yoga program manager role for the same company Coventry Adult Education Service, in England.

From the UK & have been in Indonesia for 7 years, I now reside on the Nusa Lembongan island. My loves: reading, writing poetry, art, dancing & my two local dogs.

Akira, if you are wondering, is Sanskrit & means’ graceful strength’. This sums up both the Yin Yoga style & my personal journey.

June and July 2019 was a hard core Yoga trip I had been planning for a year. I visited many studios in Ubud, Seminyak, Canguu and on the different Gili islands. After attending a drop in class with Clare at H20 I decided to stay and do a retreat package.Clare and the other teachers are top shelf, they are not about gymnastics, they are just normal people that have followed the path of self improvement in their own lives for a long time and have nice and meaningful things to share with people. The course covered all topics that I expected from a yin yoga training: meridians, sequencing, a lot of practice, personal reflection and personal attention. We got creative with paint, Claire’s lectures were very clear and well-accompanied with to-the-point notes on a flip-over and we got to do some aqua yoga, which is the floatiest experience ever! I enjoyed sitting in the shade of the café, reading or writing and cruiusing the cute little island on bikes that are for rent at H20. A Yin Yoga Bali Teacher Training, where you will learn all the practice fundamentals in one week. Combining the Yin yoga physical ethos while embracing Chinese Medicine principles.

The course will teach you how to apply fundamental concepts to yourself through daily lectures that explore core Chinese philosophy & meridian theories. You will understand how these relate to our internal organ system, six sensory organs, & emotional/mental well-being.

High importance has also been placed on anatomy, including the Fascia system, all the main muscle groups, skeletal segments, & essential functional yoga anatomy, including an analysis of your own body anatomical structure, & how to apply this theory to Yin yoga asana archetypes.

We then provide the space for the physical application of all these concepts with the twice-daily practices. Within which, you explore completely different Yin yoga asana & associated techniques in each & every class.

The morning classes consist of Traditional Yin yoga, pranayama & meditation. The evening practices are Meridian focused with Tapping, Myofascial massage, Myoyin & Acuyin techniques.

A daily pranayama & meditation progression program has been integrated into our program to deepen your awareness of the benefits of including traditional yoga techniques with the Yin yoga style.

My Background

I started practicing yoga 22 years ago, having sciatica & pelvic pain. Also, suffering from anxiety & being in a high alert state as a young adult, self-medication & self-harm was habitual patterns in numerous ways. My nervous system was ultimately out of balance.

Yoga entered my life after stumbling across a yoga video at a yard sale. Due to social anxiety was very much a self-taught personal practice, not entering a class for two years.

I’m an empathetic individual that feels deeply & has strong instincts.

Prior experience in psychology & criminology, working with the National Probation Service for 8 yrs. I taught yoga in the evenings during this time. This teaching proceeded to a full-time yoga program manager role for the same company Coventry Adult Education Service, in England.

From the UK & have been in Indonesia for 7 years, I now reside on the Nusa Lembongan island. My loves: reading, writing poetry, art, dancing & my two local dogs.

Akira, if you are wondering, is Sanskrit & means’ graceful strength’. This sums up both the Yin Yoga style & my personal journey.

Yin Yoga Self Care

The seasons are all aspects of Qi & the Yin & Yang five transitional elemental energy cycles. Known as the 5 elements.

As both receivers & contributors of collective Qi, we too can become affected by the changing of seasons which can adversely affect our sense of well-being.

Within the human body, this physical interconnectivity is through our internal organ system & energetically through the Meridian system.

Seasonal Yin Yoga Self-care is a personal Yin Yoga with Chinese Medicine principles tool-kit for each elemental season. You will learn everything related to staying physically healthy, including understanding your organ health & how it connects to your physical & emotional well-being, the related Meridians, a collection of all the Yin Yoga asana we can incorporate, in addition to full 90-minute practices & additional meditations.

There are healthy season nutrition/recipes, crystal healing, practical lifestyle suggestions & how we can better manage the associated, often difficult, emotions.

I can thoroughly recommend the training, it was presented very professionally and clearly. The group was beautiful, a very mixed bunch, some teachers some just with just a very keen interest to learn more. The physical practise was superb and I so benefited from these on a personal level as well as understanding how to deliver a class for my students. Chakra Transformation Retreat August 2019.

I had an amazing time at my Chakra Transformation Retreat at Yoga Dunia with lovely people, delicious healthy breakfast, nice accomodation and, of cause, great yoga lessons. A big THANK YOU to Claire, who made sure we do yoga in a safe and respectful way for our body and who teached us so much more than just yoga. I definitely recommend her classes to everyone who are not just interested in doing a workout yoga. I felt home for a week and would definitely come back again!

This was a beautiful week of incredible yoga tuition, excellent food and the island lifestyle we all dream of. I met a cool bunch of yogis and yogini’s and we plan to all catch up in Barcelona for a re union in 12 months. This was a good investment. We learnt, we felt, we experienced, I now now understand the beauty of Yin that was eluding me, thanks to Claire’s vast knowledge and ability to convey that.

June and July 2019 was a hard core Yoga trip I had been planning for a year. I visited many studios in Ubud, Seminyak, Canguu and on the different Gili islands. After attending a drop in class with Clare at H20 I decided to stay and do a retreat package.Clare and the other teachers are top shelf, they are not about gymnastics, they are just normal people that have followed the path of self improvement in their own lives for a long time and have nice and meaningful things to share with people. They all seem to approach yoga in a careful way, not reckless like some other places which is very re-assuring.

This was my second visit to H2O to attend the 55 hour Yin Teacher training course with Claire.I attended the 7 day mindfulness retreat a couple of years ago and this motivated me to travel to India and become a Yoga teacher. I was impressed with Claire as a instructor then so when I discovered that she was running the Yin course I didn’t hesitate as I was already interested in teaching Yin. I found Claires course to be excellent it was well structured and very hands on . Claires passion and enthusiasm for Yoga is impressive and she is very dedicated to her calling. I was at H20 yoga for their yin yoga course. The place is very peaceful and quiet most of the day. The staff is so sweet and kind, kept on smiling away 
The course covered all topics that I expected from a yin yoga training: meridians, sequencing, a lot of practice, personal reflection and personal attention. We got creative with paint, Claire’s lectures were very clear and well-accompanied with to-the-point notes on a flip-over and we got to do some aqua yoga, which is the floatiest experience ever! I enjoyed sitting in the shade of the café, reading or writing and cruiusing the cute little island on bikes that are for rent at H20. I truely recommend trhe training to anyone who wants to leave the island with a deep understanding of what yin yoga is, can mean for the body and can trigger in the mind. Powerful tool,

I came to H20 for a short Yin Yoga teacher training and thoroughly enjoyed it. From the moment of arriving, the whole service at this center was fantastic. I was well looked after by all the staff and the design of the course exceeded my expectations. It is a credit to Clare how she manages to structure so much information into one week. Having all the yoga classes linked to the lectures each day really helped the learning and integration of the theory. I feel excited for bringing the Yin style into my teaching and hope to come back to H20 for just a holiday next year.

I completed the Yin Yoga course with Clare and found it fantastic, from the level of knowledge base, expertise in this field, teacher instruction to the whole design and structure of the course, it was a credit to Clare to cover so many elements over such a short space of time, it exceeded my expectations and left me excited to begin putting this all into my teaching practice. The center itself is set on a paradise island, with no cars and minutes from the beach. It has everything on site to make things so easy for you during training, including a healthy cafe and spa. I attended the Yin course with Clare and it exceeded my expectations. Her knowledge base, professionalism and humor was everything I needed to begin my own journey of self healing following a breakdown. The center itself is in a perfect location just minutes from both the harbor and beach and had everything I wanted for a small break. The social scene here is great if your traveling alone, sitting around the cafe or indulging in a spa treatment and I found both the host/owner and all the staff here very polite, friendly and attentive. I plan to come back later in the year to do some more work with Clare and very much look forward to this.
