Seasonal Yin yoga self care for the season of spring. This is when the wood energy arises. Associated with movement & fluidity, a time for new growth & fresh starts. After our period of restoration during the winter months, we now emerge ready with our creative energy to move our ideas forward.

Late summer reminds us that mother earth gives us all that we need, to find our centre, & to develop trust in natures energetic connectivity. You will be encouraged to slow down, listen, & develop trust in your body’s innate intelligence. Consciously shifting into surrender energy.
Seasonal yin yoga for autumn is when the energy of metal prevails, metal is the energy of accumulation & releasing waste, leaving only the essence ready for the next cycle of nature. Autumn reminds us of the need for shredding what is no longer needed.
Similar to the valuable & precious minerals & metals that are found deep within the earth, you will be encouraged to discover our own self worth & value. To see harmony as the already present possibility, embodying our experiences & connecting to what is deep inside.
Seasonal Yin yoga for winter is the energy associated with the water element, water is stillness, reflective , cooling, inward energy. Winter is a time for rest & rejuvenation, during which energy is conserved.
With the spirit of winter & water, you will be encouraged to fully let go, & allow our body & breath to do the work for us, as we develop courage & practice the balance of effort & surrender.
When we learn to truly let go it allows us to shift from the sympathetic nervous system to the parasympathetic side, where we experience a calming release. Over time, we move from anxiety & hyper-stimulation to a state of down-regulation where our digestion, immune system, & other essential systems are restored & enhanced.
