Akira Yoga Booking & Cancellation Policy

Thank you for your interest in our Teacher Training programs. We’ve outlined the commitment required and our current refund policy below to help you make an informed decision.

How to Book

To secure your spot in one of our Yoga Teacher Training courses, follow these steps:

Select the course and dates you are interested in.

  1. Follow the link to our secure booking and payment platform, WeTravel.
  2. Create your account on WeTravel, fill out the form, and proceed with the payment.
  3. Your booking will be confirmed once we receive your initial payment.

Payment Conditions

  • A deposit is required to confirm your registration.
  • All final payments for Teacher Training, must be completed before the start date for your enrolment.

A payment plan is available through the Wetravel platform, where following your deposit you can pay for the remainder of the training in two instalments. Wetravel will email you with reminders and payment links.

Note – we also extend the option of boat transfers at the booking platform. External accommodation providers within walking distance of our Yoga Shala are also given on the website and each Teacher Training page.

REFUND POLICY

By the Student

  • A non-refundable deposit of USD 99 is required to secure your spot in the training. This deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.
  • If you cancel your participation 90 days or more prior to the training start date, you will receive a full refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable deposit & any transaction or platform processing fees incurred through the payment provider.
  • If you cancel your participation less than 90 days prior to the training start date, you will receive a 50% refund of any payments made, excluding the non-refundable deposit & any transaction or platform processing fees.
  • If you cancel your participation within 30 days of the training start date, you are not eligible for a refund.

By Akira Yoga

  • Akira Yoga reserves the right to cancel or postpone any training if fewer than four participants are enrolled.
  • In this case, you will receive a full refund of any payments made, including the deposits and transaction fees.
  • If a participant is asked to leave the YTT program due to any reason, no refunds will be given.

Pandemic & Natural Disaster

In the event of a natural disaster, government-imposed travel restrictions, border closures, or other unforeseeable events beyond the participant’s or Akira Yoga’s control, the following options will be offered:

  • All payments made (excluding the non-refundable deposit) will be fully transferable to a future training date within 18 months.
  • The non-refundable deposit may also be transferred to a future course, but cannot be refunded.
  • Alternatively, students may choose to transfer their full balance (including deposit) to our Online Yin Yoga & Chinese Medicine Teacher Training.
  • Please note that no refunds will be issued for force majeure events, but every effort will be made to support students in rescheduling or continuing their training in another format.

Code of Conduct

  • Akirayoga reserves the right to refuse a student’s application for a teacher training event.
  • All trainees attending our events must have their own travel & medical insurance for the duration of the training.
  • By signing up for the Teacher Training course, you commit 100% to the course content with an open heart & motivation.
  • Akira Yoga reserves the right to ask a student to leave the training if their behavior is disruptive, disrespectful, or harmful to the group or teachers. In such cases, no refund or credit will be provided.

Travel Insurance

We strongly encourage all participants to purchase travel insurance that covers illness, personal emergencies & flight cancellations. This helps protect your investment in the event of unforeseen changes.
