1. Understand the Philosophy, Physiology & Functional anatomy background of Yin yoga.
2. Apply this theory to the physical application of Yin yoga.
3. Reflective/lifestyle tools to take our practice off the mat.
Being minutes from the beach on a peaceful island location; we provide the perfect tranquil setting to dive deeper into your personal Yin yoga practice while developing confident teaching skills & becoming qualified to teach Yin Yoga.
Chinese medicine is often seen as a very complex philosophy; this Yin yoga teacher training Bali 100-hour program has been structured to gently guide you through vital theoretical aspects & how to tangibly use these concepts within your practice & teaching. Together with the enhancing healing potentiality of myofascial self-massage, Myoyin & Acuyin techniques, you will both practice & learn how such methods can be sequenced effectively into Yin yoga classes. Providing self-experienced embedded learning.
High importance has also been placed on functional yoga anatomy & in particular skeletal differences, with asana variations labs consistently provided, so you can become utterly familiar with the wide range of creative postures available & that we may create depending on your body.
Anatomy is so essential, but so is learning to still the mind. Therefore, a safe, daily progressive pranayama & meditation program, with complimentary hand mudras, is also incorporated.
The training also offers essential teaching tools & opportunities for you to practice teaching in a supportive way. We also explore contra-indications & safe teaching/adjusting practices to assure you feel competent to effectively work with a wide range of varying students.
Organ health, lifestyle tools, introspective & reflective questions are also deeply encouraged. Reflection allows us to pause amidst a busy life, untangle our choices & experiences, & can begin to create meaning. This meaning becomes learning, which can then inform our future mindset & actions, taking our practice off the mat.
By the end of this Yin yoga teacher training, you will gain both the skills & qualification to teach the Yin Yoga style with confidence.
• Daily 90-minute Yin Yoga class exploring a different physical focus & theme each day. This practice will include both hand mudras, pranayama, meditation & chanting for an embodied Yin yoga experience.
• Daily Fascia focus class exploring the Meridians in greater depth using myofascia massage, Myoyin & Acuyin techniques.
• Daily interactive theoretical lectures that are then threaded into the physical practices.
• Embedded asana variation labs & paired teaching experiences.
• Groupwork learning & teaching practicums within a supportive/safe space.
• Breaks are included with complimentary onsite refreshments & use of our pool.
• Lunch breaks are 1.5 hours, with local amenities & the beach within walking distance.
• Days are 8.5 hours in length for you to achieve your required contact hours.
• You receive one full day off to enjoy island beach life.
Welcome yoga friends; I’m Claire, a yoga teacher, yoga therapist & a passionate Yin yogi. I offer Yin Yoga teacher training & Vinyasa/Yin Yoga teacher training in Bali, & online Yin yoga teacher training, seasonal self-care courses & YouTube classes.
All my teacher training has been designed to teach you fundamental philosophy & meridian theory principles & will guide you on how to tangibly use these concepts in the practical application of the Yin yoga practice. Therefore, providing a space where you can turn your knowledge into action & apply these principles to yourself before teaching others.
The authentic experience of Yin yoga is an inside to outside job. The Yin yoga asana is merely a reflection of our inner awareness, our intention, & our attitude. By applying fundamental concepts, my aim is for you to become empowered as your own teacher.
Anatomy is also so essential, & so is learning to both understand & still the mind. Therefore, each training also places high importance on functional yoga anatomy & skeletal differences & provides pranayama & meditation progressive programs, together with contemplative practices to build emotional resilience.
With essential teaching tools & opportunities for you to practice teaching in a supportive way, as a Yoga Alliance school, I offer you professional learning at the highest standard, which is integral to this accreditation.
I started practicing yoga 22 years ago following having sciatica & pelvic pain. Also suffering from anxiety & a high alert state as a young adult, self-medication was a habitual pattern in numerous ways. Yoga entered my life after stumbling across a yoga video at a yard sale. Due to social anxiety, it was very much a self-taught personal practice, not entering a class for two years. As an empathetic individual, yoga enabled a tapping into skills to help others rather than feeling disconnected from the world.
Prior experience in psychology & criminology, working with the National Probation Service, proceeding to a yoga program manager role for the Adult Education Service in England. Residing now in Bali, my offerings are inclusive, holistic & therapeutic, finding equal emphasis on strength building of the mind, body & soul & graceful acceptance. Akira in Sanskrit means ‘graceful strength’.

Both seasonal attributions & elements can be found within human existence & provide a blueprint that shows how nature interacts with the body. Seasonal Yin Yoga Self-care is how we can cope better with daily stressors & includes everything related to staying physically healthy, nutrition, & interactions with others. Taking time out to check in with how we are taking care of our health & well-being & allowing ourselves to reflect on how we’re doing can provide space to listen to what our body & mind needs.
These five separate Yin yoga seasonal self-care short courses will gently connect you back with nature. You will learn how we relate to both the seasons & elements & how to incorporate Yin yoga & Chinese medicine tools to create wellness. By paying attention to how our bodies work & understanding the connectivity of the emotional with the physical & with nature, we can find a better balance in our bodies & lives.
